The Seoul Lantern Festival 2009 was held near the Cheonggye stream in Seoul, South Korea from November 11 to 15, 2009. The festival showcased 1,000 lanterns from about 20 participating counties. Such event marked the 2010-12 Visit Korea Year, aimed at attracting foreign tourists.
